Procurement of a Framework Agreement for the Transportation of Reindeer

The agreement concerns the transport of reindeer for the reindeer herders spring and autumn moving of reindeer between different islands in Nord-Troms and Finnmark and the mainland in the transfer period. The transport is regulated in the regulation on transportation, Nord-Troms and Finnmark, of 23 June 2017.
In spring, in the period April/May, the reindeer are transported from the mainland and out to summer pastures on the islands. In autumn, in the period September/October, the reindeer shall be collected and transported back to the mainland. In total, 40 days are set aside for transportation in 2018.
The contract has a duration of 1 year with an option to extend for a further 1 year.

In spring, in the period April/May, the operator shall transport reindeer from the mainlands and out to summer pastures on the islands. In autumn, in the period September/October, the operator shall collect reindeer and transport them back to the mainland. The transport period for spring 2018 is approximately 20 April 2018 - 14 May 2018 (25 days), and the transport period for autumn 2018 is approximately 28 September 2018 - 12 October 2018 (15 days). In total, 40 days are set aside for transportation in 2018. The dates can be changed due to weather or animal welfare conditions. Amendment of dates does not form a basis for adjustment of the number of days for the transfer period.
