NRK shall enter into a new contract with a provider of printing/print, dispatch and administration services for the dispatch of NRK's broadcasting cards, as well as printing letter paper/regulations, which are sent out from the department. The services are being quickly digitalised and it is therefore necessary that the tenderer can also see to the provision of digital postboxes. As this has still not been completely reviewed, this shall be offered as an option in the contract.

The contract will be valid for 2 years, with an option for a contract extension for 1+1 year, (total 2 years). The start of the contract will be from the first collection in January 2018 and preparations for this in the second half of 2017.
The basis for financing NRK from a licence fee per household is continually subject to political debate. The contract is therefore subject to decisions at a high political level changing the basis for the contract, which can make it necessary to end the contract outside the original presumed and contractual times/dates, or order additional services for any cessation of the current system for licence payment.

As NRK's income basis and financial liquidity is very dependent on precise service provision for collecting licence fees and payments, there will be high requirements for the provision of these services.
