Ground work
From the terrain approx. 2.5 m is to be excavated for pipelines and manholes inside the station. Excavation down to 5 m below the terrain for equalisation tanks with stable slopes and possible sheet piling. The contractor is to assess shovelling for the top 1-1.5 m.

Approx. 1m shall be shovelled below the terrain for the pump station and pipelines in from the equalisation tanks. From here a sheet piling pit shall be established of approx. 6 m deep. The excavation for the sheet piling pit is to be done layer by layer as and when rangers and bracing struts are established.

Construction work
The sewage pump station has a surface of approx. 7.4,11.2 m and is approx. 10.3 m high. The station has 2 floors, one of which is below ground. The pump sump/inlet basin is a separate room with a height that is above 1 high floor. In the pump basement there is a between-deck for fixtures, ventilation and outlet pipelines. The part of the pump station that is above ground will be approx. 3.2 — 3.8 m from the lower terrain level.

The bottom plate in the pump station is to be cast against sheet piling in order to contribute to stable ground and prevent uplift in floods. Then establish walls and floors upwards until the upper edge of the pump station floor. The sheet piling bracing is to be removed after the floors and walls are established.

The internal pump station shall be the foundation for pumps. A steel staircase is to be assembled for access between the floors and there are to be hatches in the floor for transporting equipment in and out. An overhead travelling crane is to be assembled under the ceiling on the ground floor and, in addition, a crane beam overt he middle floor for in and out transportation via a gate. Walkways and ladders are to be established in the pump sump for access to the bottom of the pump sump.

The pump station shall be constructed for a 200 year flood.
The inlet manhole upstream's equalisation tanks with 1 inlet pipeline Ø500 and 3 Ø500 pipelines out shall be cast on site. The external dimensions are approx. 5x4.7 m and approx. 2.5 m deep. The manhole shall have 2 lids for descent and 3 lids for manoeuvring hatch valves. Otherwise fixtures as shown on the drawing.

HVAC
Aggregate with rotating recovery sees to the ventilation of the station.
The extraction installations for impure extraction with photo-oxidation and coal filter, maintains negative pressure in zones with odours, as well as ventilation for buried holding tanks and manholes for sewage.
A passive supply air system for blowing machines.
The extraction installations for impure extraction ensures that bad odours are not present in the area surrounding the station. Odour sources in the facility are holding tanks and manholes located outside and the inlet basin in the station. Ventilating tanks will also contribute to ensuring that hazardous gas does not form in concentrations that are dangerous.

A passive air supply system for blowing machines shall ensure that the blowing machines on the ground floor in the station are supplied with cold outside air. The system will have a flapping butterfly valve at the intake, so that cold air does not trickle in if the blowing machine is not on.

Network water is guided to the station and connected to the washbasin and for refilling broken water surface.
Broken water surface shall be established in order to prevent contamination of network water, flushing posts and connection points for machines shall be taken from the broken water surface.
A heating/cooling system with 2 heat pumps and fancoils shall be established.
Water and sewage.
A measuring manhole shall be established for future sewage from Rotnes, a branch manhole for connecting existing SP pipelines at the treatment facility, a manhole for reconnections between existing sewage pipelines and a new pipeline, circulation manhole and an inlet manhole for the equalisation tanks. The four first mentioned manholes shall be prefabricated, whilst the inlet manhole must be cast on site. It is approx. 4x4.5 m in outer measurements and 2-2.5 m deep. The execution of all the manholes and equipment is show in the drawing. Fixtures shall be assembled in the measuring manhole and the inlet manhole.

A pipeline with dimension Ø400 to Ø710 for SP and emergency spillway shall be laid and connected to manholes and the pump station. Pipeline material PE100 and PVC. The water supply for the pump station shall be connected at a manhole in Heggeveien, via blocking an existing pipeline to the treatment facility and laying in a joint ditch with the SP pipeline for the final metres. A vent pipe shall be laid from the branch manhole, inlet manhole and equalisation tanks to the odour removal installations in the pump station.

In connection with the PA Slattum pump station there shall be 3 holding tanks with a combined volume of 570 m3 The tanks shall be buried and UK tanks will be approx. 5-5.5 m under the existing terrain. A joint concrete plate shall be cast over the tanks to prevent uplift in the event of empty tanks during floods and to protect the tanks from traffic loads. The treatment facility shall be in operation during the entire construction period for the pump station. Tanks shall be laid in GRP/GUP with Ø3 m and a length of approx. 27 m. Each tank shall have a dry weather gutter in the bottom and 3 descending towers.
