The contract includes the delivery and commissioning of a new operations control system for the complete developed treatment facility. This includes new treatment facilities and the replacement of the control system for the existing installations. The plan is that the existing and the new installations will be controlled independently of each other, but with a joint overall monitor system. The facility will be operated by the same operator with the main control room in the existing facility. The new operations control system shall be structured with centralised PLSs, with external IO centres, located in the facilities. Communication between PLS, IO centres, frequency transformers and other ‘intelligent’ equipment shall go over Profinet. There will be redundancy on both the PLS and the monitor system. The necessary servers will be located in the computer room in the existing and new facility respectively. A fibre ring shall be established in both the existing and the new installations. The installations will be connected together via a fibre ring. The necessary switches and configurations will be included in this contract. In addition the installation currently has 6 minor treatment facilities (out stations), fully implemented in the existing monitor system. These installations shall also be implemented in the new monitor system. Ringerike municipality is working on other plans that can mean that one or several of the out stations are discontinued. Ringerike municipality would therefore like to establish a new operations control system on a DCS-platform.
