The procurement is for the provision of transport services for nursery children who shall be transported every week (from Monday to Friday) from the child's home to their nursery. The transport will also include return transport from a nursery — Drammensbadet/Idrettens Hus (physiotherapy) for children who require this.
Home also includes respite care homes such as Bekkevollen, Buskerudveien 166, 3027 Drammen. We cannot give information on concrete addresses in the tender documentation as this information is confidential. All the transport will, however, be within Drammen's municipal borders.

Shared transport can be used where possible. The contracting authority will carry out an individual assessment of shared transport possibilities. Shared transport shall not give children long journeys.
Children who are covered by the contract have been granted transport in accordance with the Nursery Act §19. The management office for nurseries grants transport each school year for children who, after an application, are entitled to this. The extent of the transport can vary, therefore, from year to year, but the estimate is an average of approx. 10-15 children per annum. The transport will be required year round with the possible exception of 2 to 3 weeks in the summer holidays and any other holidays.

Children who are granted transport in accordance with the Nursery Act §19 can have disabilities that involve concrete requirements for the vehicles that shall be used for these assignments. Driving children with disabilities etc. will also be included in this service. Special vehicles with, for example, a wheelchair lift, will be required here. The transport will also include escorts.
