Stavanger kommune

The public libraries and the school libraries for the primary and lower secondary schools in Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim and Kristiansand shall use this competition to procure a common library system. The Contracting Authority represents a total of 13 % of the population of Norway (a little less than 700 000 inhabitants). The new library system shall be a future-oriented system which can be used by all involved parties, as well as be expanded to include other partners in the long-term. The library system shall be delivered as SaaS (Software as a Service) with integrations to the relevant national systems. A high degree of self-service and good possibilities for adaptations, integrations and expansions are requested.

Bergen, Norway.
Bergen Public Library (BOB) is organised with a main library down town and six branches in the districts. BOB also operates the library at Bergen Central Prison and at Bjørgvin Prison.
In 2015, Bergen Public Library had 1 402 272 visitors in the libraries and 1 257 274 loans from a collection consisting of 580 596 media. 1 725 events were carried out for the public.
Bergen kommune has 90 primary and lower secondary schools.
Kristiansand
Kristiansand Public Library consists of the main library and three branches, Vågsbygd, Hellemyr and Flekkerøy. The latter two are combination libraries with primary and lower secondary schools. The main library area is 5 630 m². The prison library also is part of the library operations.

In 2015, 532 837 loans were registered and 481 027 physical visits. Kristiansand Public Library has a stock of 285 709 media. During the same year, 274 events were carried out for the public.
Kristiansand Public Library operates 38 primary and lower secondary schools, adult education centre for adult immigrants and Education Centre in the municipality. Combined, the schools' stock is 346 965 media.
Stavanger.
Sølvberget, Stavanger Library and Arts Centre is located in the middle of down town Stavanger. In 2015, the library had 1.500 000 visitors. Besides the main library of 6,588 m², the library has a branch, Madla Library, and a prison library. In 2015, Stavanger had 636 594 loans form a collection consisting of 381 245 media and carried out 632 events for the public.

Trondheim
Trondheim Public Library consists of the main library which is located down town, a prison library and six district libraries, of which one is a combination library at an upper sixth form college. The library has a common library system with Sør-Trøndelag Public Library that has a book bus, and is responsible for remote loaning and a reading set collection. The Public Library operates a library system to 55 schools in the municipality. From 2020, Klæbu kommune will become part of Trondheim.

In 2015, Trondheim Public Library had 991 749 visitors. 1 064 891 loans were made from a collection consisting of 461 346 media. 437 events were carried out for the public.
