The contracting authority.
UiO is the country's oldest institution for research and higher education. The university is organised in approx. 100 institutes and units and currently has approx. 27 000 students and approx. 6 000 employees. There are approx. 100 buildings in different locations in Oslo (Blindern, Gaustad, Geitmyrsveien, Ullevål Hospital, Rikshospitalet, Sentrum and Tøyen), as well as some locations outside Oslo.
The scope and purpose of the contract.
The Accounting and auditing service at the University of Oslo (UiO) is decentralised in such a way that planning and financial management are delegated to each entitiy in the organisation. This also applies to follow-up and reports for economy and accounts. Each entities are reporting to their own boards and to the central financial function. Coordination, management and reports to the board (the internal accounts) and financial accounting reports as well as other reports required by the Ministry of Education and Research and other contracting authorities are centrally conducted.
