A prior information notice has also been published for project 74852, Doffin 2017-466636, 8.3.2017.
New equipment for full automation of urine analyses, chemistry (urine-stix) and microscope use shall be procured for Oslo University Hospital (OUS), Rikshospitalet, Department for Medical Biochemistry.
The objective is to achieve an efficient system which provide high quality and a reduced and predictable response time.
Approx. 15 000 urine-stix are carried out and the number of microscope examinations is approx. 5 200. Rikshospitalet carries out the highest number of kidney transplants per inhabitant in the world. The treatment includes urine analyses, which are an important follow-up parameter, both just after the transplant and at elective check-ups. Standardised results are important, as these finds are included in diagnosing rejections of transplanted kidney. The system should handle an increase of 20 % of the analyses volume. All analyses shall have a back-up system. The instrument shall be able to be connected on-line to LIMS.

1 Extended extent of the framework agreement until the instruments' capacity has been fully exploited. This can be relevant if the automation system for urine analysis means that the analysis of urine samples is organised in another way that the current method and/or that other changes lead to an increased analysis volume.
