The work involves terrain changes and the development of new spaces, pavements and footpaths around the new National Museum. The area is bordered by the old station buildings and the project therefore also includes adaptations to the listed buildings. The development shall partly be carried out on terrain and partly on constructions. Large parts of the outside area are to be developed above the basement area which, due to height requirements in many places, gives marginal room to develop a complete town floor on the upper side, with acceptable solutions for universal design. A high level of accuracy is therefore required from the executors.

The outside area is divided into 6 sub areas above ground:
1. Museumsplassen;
2. Forplassen;
3. Dronning Mauds gate;

Under the cover for the cycle path:
7. Enga.
Brief information on the most important work assignments for each area:
1. Museumsplassen: A universally designed floor shall be established, cast on site from granite cobbles in a perpendicular passé course pattern. A sample has been made at the construction site, which shows how the pattern shall be laid. A large farmyard tree and climbing plants along facades shall be planted and ramps and steps shall be established to entrances to the old buildings. In addition, various equipment and lighting shall be assembled. Casting short flight of steps and foundations, as well as the assembly of permanent bollards and bollards that can be lowered and raised. Heating cables, assembly of light masts and lights in the cycle stand as well as uplights. Laying conduits. Automatic watering installations. Connecting the public water network. Drains.

2. Forplassen houses large steps for sitting up to Dronning Mauds gate. Forplassen shall have the same granite cover that will be laid in Rådhusplassen. In addition trees shall be planted and a plant box shall be made at the top of the steps. Piling on rock and casting for flying main steps. Concrete relief sheets and cast gutter at the foot of the steps. Conduit, lights in hand rails. Assembly of masts and lights in masts. Automatic watering installations. 3. Dronning Mauds gate: Granite slabs shall be laid on parts of the pavement and climbing plants along the facades. An important entrance area shall be fitted in here. Pavements and planting are to be established in the basement. Conduit, automatic watering installations. Drains.

4. North: Museumspassasjen shall be established here with a pavement and cycle path. A large area of plants shall be established around the road ramp to the Oslo tunnel, low walls, granite benches and various equipment, as well as climbing plants on facades. Most of the area will be developed on the cover for the cycle path over Enga. The upper part of Dokkveien is particularly narrow because of constructions in the ground. Foundations for posts for line lighting and tram cables. Assembly and connection of light masts. Conduit, establishment of an electricity outlet in a manhole. Automatic watering installations. Connecting the public water network. Drains.

5. Dokkveien: Granite slabs shall be laid on the pavement and climbing plants shall be established along the facade. In addition disabled parking places shall be established. The work will be carried out next to tram lines. Foundations for permanent bollards. Automatic watering installations. Foundations for posts for line lighting and tram cables and the assembly of cables for the building's facade. Drains.

6. Rådhusplassen: Rådhusplassen's granite cover shall be continued up to the building facades. Work shall be carried out next to tram lines and platforms. The slope must be changed and an extra step must therefore be established up to the platform. Connection to the existing electrical infrastructure, assembly of light masts. 7. Enga: Asphalt and kerbstone work shall mainly carried out in the outside area on plan 01 and construction work by the neighbouring building (Pecunia). Foundations and assembly of bollards that can be lowered and raised. Water gutters and drains.

Teknisk og faglig kapasitet:
1. Experience is required from assignments of an equivalent character and complexity.
The following areas are seen to be particularly relevant and experience must be documented for the following work:
— Ground work;
— Site gardening work, including stone work in urban areas, both laying slabs and cobbles;
— Development of parks, landscape and vegetation;
— Concrete structures;
— Outdoor plumbing installations;
— Outdoor electrical installations;
— Surface water management.
Documentation:
1. Presentation of 3-7 relevant reference projects in recent years that document that the qualification requirement is fulfilled.
The following information shall be given on a maximum of one A4 page per project:
— The contracting authority and a description of the type of project;
— Project/contract size (contract value, excluding VAT);
— Date of execution;
— The contract's relevant works.
