Oslo University Hospital invites tenderers to a competition for the procurement of 1 x nucleic acid extractor and pipetting device as a complete system for the Department of Immunology and Transfusion Medicine, at the Section for Immune haematology.
The Section for Immune Haematology shall procure an instrument for automated nucleic acid extraction of DNA/RNA and PCR preparation. The PCR preparation involves pipetting eluate from nucleic acid extraction and PCR reagents to a suitable tray for real time PCR analyses. The pipetting system should be compatible with the PCR instrument LightCycler 480 II, as this is established in the section.
Most of the sample material will be plasma from pregnant women for the detection of cell-free foster DNA, so-called NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing). The system should therefore be able to carry out extraction from 1 ml plasma or more. The test quantity is expected to increase to approx. 6 000 per year, based on planned national procedure changes.
Nucleic acid extraction of full blood from patients and blood donors for other genomic examinations will be approx. 700 — 1 000 per year.
The procurement will be conducted by The Medical Technology Business Unit (MTV) and the Purchasing Department.
The procurement also comprises entering into framework agreement for the purchase of associated consumables for nucleic acid extractor and pipetting device, as a complete system. This framework agreement has a duration of 4 years, with an option on extending for 2 years at a time for as long as the equipment is in use. The award of contract for consumables will follow the award of contract for the purchase of the instrument.
A nucleic acid extractor and a pipetting device shall be delivered as a complete system. With a delivery such as this, both of the requirement specifications must be met.
A contract will be signed with 1 tenderer.
