UHN38 Resetting contract

Jernbaneverket [The Norwegian National Rail Administration]

This contract includes disassembly of a railway line that no longer shall be in use when the new double track between Holm and Fergstad is in operation. The works includes various measures in connection with the removal of the line and handing over areas that are used as temporary, pre-fabricated cabins and operation in the construction period, back to landowners, municipality and as the Norwegian National Rail Administration's property. Parts of the railway technical plants that are removed shall be disassembled for future re-use.
The contract includes a section from Holm in the north to Fergestad in the south and includes the following works:
— Demolition/disassembly and removal of all railway technical installation on the sections included in the contract, as well as clearing of railway technical waste by the line, approx. 12,4 km.
— Demolition of four bridges in Holmestrand and south of Holmestrand. 2 of these bridges are steel bridges, 1 large concrete bridge and 1 smaller concrete bridge.
— Demolition of a pedestrian culvert in Holmestrand, as well as the establishment of a path
— Demolition of a signal technical building in Holmestrand
— Dismantling temporary, pre-fabricated cabins and re-establish the area for agriculture/forestry purposes
— Construction of a hiking path in the existing line from Holm to Holmestrand, including a new access road to the county road no 313 at the Smørstein tunnel. and closing the tunnel by using fences, approx. 6.5 km hiking path.
— Re-marking the crossing at the county road no 313 at Holm.
— Trench work and the development of an access road at Holm.
— Assembly of railings along county road no 313
— Removing construction works traffic signs along roads.
