The actual back table can be used for all of these operations, but it would be a great advantage for the surgical result to use a special back table in 100 operations. The contracting authority needs a back table that meets the challenges that exist in spinal surgery at KiH. The back table is important for patients with degenerative conditions that require long bracings, who must be operated on a table on which the correct lordosis can be achieved in the lower back when the bracing instruments are fixed. Furthermore, it is important to achieve good lordosis for a good clinical result for the patient. There is a strong scientific basis that states that the correct lordosis gives a better clinical result in these types of operations.
