Ringerike Kommune [Ringerike municipality]

2,100 light points shall be replaced in Ringerike kommune. This is primarily light fixtures that
containing HQL (mercury holding vapour lamps). In Norwegian legislation there are several EEA/EU Directives
that regulate the use of mercury in lighting equipment, i.a.: Regulation on the limiting
in use of health and environmentally hazardous chemicals and other products (the product regulation) § 2a-3 4(d
mercury under high pressure in mercury vapour lamps (HPMV) (vapour lamps), expired 13.4.2015.
