The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Nordland Road Department — Operation and Maintenance, invites tenderers to a competition for the delivery of a system for monitoring and real-time warning of avalanches on county road 472 hp 01 km 1,340-2,165 Sandneslia in Gildeskål municipality. The tender shall also include the construction of a new stop signal and sign boards at the southern end of the avalanche area and connection to the existing stop signal at 1 point. Camera monitoring is also included in the delivery.
The contract also includes all the accompanying electro and ground work.

The assignment, that a tender shall be submitted for, comprises the complete installation of a radar system for monitoring and real-time warning of avalanches in Sandneslia, connection to the existing signal installations (geofonanlegg) provided by NGI, as well as the erection and connection of 1 new signal installation at the southern end of the avalanche area. The system shall be installed in an area with a hard winter climate, low temperatures and little sun. Camera installations shall also be installed. The tenderer will be responsible for the dimensioning and engineering for the installations. Network power (1-phase) will be provided by the signal installations in the south. The tenderer must internally supply the radar and camera installations from here, if the installations are not delivered with an internal power source. Proposals for the placement of the radar and camera installations are given in the tender documentation, but this must be quality assured by the tenderer.
