Bærum municipality shall replace approx. 5 000 old fittings during a 2 year period, starting in 2016. Fitting arms shall be replaced on some wooden masts to 0.5m Ø40mm straight arms with a mast collar in the same operation. The replacement of steel masts is to be carried out on mast tops Ø60/76mm.The fittings shall light up 4 main types of roads, main roads (S), access roads (A), residential roads (B) and foot/cycle paths (G/S). The values in table 1 in annex 1 shall be used in the calculation basis for the fittings.The current installations with the mast distances challenges the possibilities to use the Norwegian Public Roads Administration's requirements for evenness in their defined lighting classes.
