The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation invites tenderers to an open tender contest for the procurement of helicopter services for use under NRK's production of summer entertainment in 2017 — hereafter called Sommertoget.
The service procurement is for an 8 week period from June to August, with flights 5 days a week.
NRK invites qualified tenderers to submit an initial tender for the total helicopter services for this period.
NRK will focus on reliability, flexibility and price for the needs stated in this competition.
NRK shall produce Sommertoget in 2017; a chartered train from NSB that will run on the entire railway network in Norway for 8 weeks.
TV broadcasts will be produced minute-by-minute from the journey from station to station and programmes will be produced in the evenings from 40 selected places where the train stops overnight before continuing its journey.
The train will run from Tuesday to Saturday and will move at a slow speed in the late mornings for approx. 2-4 hours, starting with 3 hours from 11.00-14.00 on average. The train will be parked on Sundays and Mondays.
The first stretch will be from Bodø Tuesday 27/6, the last stretch goes to Sarpsborg 19/8.
NRK would like to offer unique pictures from the train's journey throughout the summer and would like to have a helicopter that follows the journey and films more or less continually from A to B.
We envisage that recordings are made, which, as soon as possible after the train's arrival, are brought to the train's control room for production. This means that a landing place must be found close to the end station each day.
Live production of pictures and GPS data etc. can also be relevant.
