West Norway Regional Health Authority, the Procurement Department, on behalf of Bergen Regional Health Authority, intends to procure a total of 48 respirators for use at the Regional Health Authority's intensive care units, the Intensive Medical Section, the Post-Operative Section, the Thorax Surgical Intensive and Awakening Section (TIO), Medical Intensive and Awakening (MIO), the Burn Division (BSA), Voss Hospital — the Intensive and Ability Centre.
38 respirators shall be advanced intensive care respirators. The Contracting Authority also requests option for the delivery of up to 10 advanced intensive care respirators (same type/model as the main product), and the delivery of up to 10 respirators of a simpler type/model than the main product. Both respirators must comply with the minimum requirements. The offered respirators should have fairly identical user interface and must be able to use similar accessories/additional equipment. Per January 2016, the estimated requirement for respirators is 48 respirators, of which at least 38 are advanced intensive respirators. The Contracting Authority shall also purchase ten respirators where the decision regarding ‘Advanced’ or ‘Simpler model’ is based on the requirement for each intensive care unit. All respirators shall be delivered with an additional set (extra) of ‘expiration parts’. 38 respirators shall be delivered with an arm for suspension of the patient circuit.
The Contracting Authority also requests tenders for respiration simulators/dummies. This is an option for use in connection with training and maintenance of the staff's competence.
