The procurement is for safety alarm services consisting of the following parts:
1. Hire of stationary safety alarms (main unit and wireless alarm triggers).
2. Hire of sensors.
3. Hire of mobile safety alarms (portable safety alarm with localisation technology).
4. Alarm centre services (system for technical receipt and forwarding of alarm calls) and response centre services (centre staffed with health personnel).
The aim of the procurement is to contribute to enable the municipalities' residents who are offered safety alarm services to live at home safely for as long as possible.

The contracting authority is Etne, Karmøy, Sauda, Sveio and Vindafjord municipalities.The following needs are estimated:— The need for stationary safety alarms is estimated to approx. 740 alarms in the first year.Different sensors can be required; sensors for movement (estimated average volume per month: 40), sensitive mats (estimated average volume per month: 70), fall alarms (estimated average volume per month: 75), bed alarms (dampness) (estimated average volume per month: 35), cooker guards (estimated average volume per month: 125), door alarms (estimated average volume per month: 80), smoke detectors (estimated average volume per month: 200), epilepsy (estimated average volume per month: 20), water (leaks/flooding) (estimated average volume per month: 10), gas alarms (estimated average volume per month: 5). Other types of sensors can also be required, see the requirement specifications.— Need for stationary safety alarms in subsequent years: 70-100 new alarms per annum.— The need for mobile safety alarms in the first year is estimated to 40 alarms.— Need for mobile safety alarms in subsequent years: Approx. 25 new alarms per annum.— Number of alarm calls in 2014: 44 000.The estimated value is not binding for the contracting authority.
