The contracting authority shall enter into a framework agreement for data centre infrastructure and related products. The contract shall cover the product area described in Annex 3 the contracting authority' technical platform and it covers, therefore, both hardware, software and related products that support the data centre infrastructure, unless the software is covered by other (framework) agreements. The framework agreement does not cover technical building systems, including electricity, cooling, fireproofing etc. The contracting authority would like to enter into a framework agreement with a dealer and competence partner who can be a consultant and total supplier. Due to, amongst other things, predictability, stability and simple operation, the equipment portfolio shall be as homogeneous as possible. The contracting authority always aims to have a limited set of products within the same functional area and that the technology is used in a standardised way. The focus is, therefore, on building a uniform and standardised infrastructure. At the same time, the aim is to use new functionality that is cost efficient and labour-saving in operation. Furthermore, there is a large focus on performance, scaleability and degree of utilisation of the infrastructure. The contracting authority has good competence in product areas that are included in the enquiry, but is, however, dependent on a supplier who has weight with manufacturers and/or sub-suppliers. Tenderers must have adequate breadth in their product portfolio and products from different manufacturers. It is also important that the tenderer has both sufficient breadth and expertise in the different products and product areas that are relevant for the enquiry. It is important that the new infrastructure supports the existing competence at the contracting authority. Example products are described in Annex 1, chapter 2. This will be used for a price comparison when evaluating the tenders. More information on the procurement's purpose and scope is included in Annex 1 Specifications.
