The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Road Department Nordland — Operation and Maintenance, invites tenderers to a competition for the delivery of new barriers including control, UPS and camera installations, etc. for 2 places where the road can be closed on the E6 on Saltfjellet. In addition the contract includes the implementation of existing stop flashing lights and danger signs for reindeer. Implementation of existing status-signs at Krokstrand and Storjord in a new control system.
The contract also includes all the accompanying ground work.

The existing barriers where the road can be closed at Sørelva and Bolna shall be replaced, including their control. In addition cameras at both areas where the road can be closed are to be replaced. Red flashing stop lights are more recent and will be kept and implemented in the new control system. The UPS installations at the closure stations are to be replaced. All cabling is to be replaced with new cabling in pipes in the ground. As an option tenders are also to be submitted for 2 new variable LED signs for showing the status at the places where the road can be closed. The warning signs at Storjord and Krokstrand are to be kept and implemented in the new control/new cupboards.New controls and camera monitoring shall also be assembled in the control room at Sørelva snow clearing station. The system shall be controlled locally and from the traffic centre in the programme Vegvokteren. In addition wireless control and communication systems shall be delivered.All the necessary ground work for the complete delivery is also included in the tender.The builder will see to the fibre/routers and electricity to all of the 4 locations.
