The development plan for the new E16 Eggemoen to Olum has been adopted by Jevnaker and Ringerike municipal councils on 5.3.2015 and 26.3.2015.
The project consists of the construction of 12,5 km single carriageway, standard class H5, including 2 large bridges over Randselva and Svenådalen, 560 m and 400 m respectively.
The largest technical challenges are connected to the construction of Randselva bridge due to the height difference between the flood plain and the bridge fixings, possible foundations in alum slate and a main span of 170 m due to unstable river banks up to the Eggemo plateau at the county border to Buskerud.
County road 241 from Kleggerud to Jevnaker shall also be upgraded and a separate foot/cycle path shall be constructed on the same stretch, as well as an environmental street from Toso to Nesbakken at Jevnaker.
The contracting authority shall now join up with a consultant for advice on the design of turnkey contracts and for further work in the different phases for a competitive dialogue for these contracts. Furthermore, the preparation of the complete tender documentation for execution contracts, as well as advice for follow-up in the construction period for these contracts can be included in the contract as options. The preparation of the tender documentation for local noise reduction measures will also be included as an option.
