The Directorate of Public Construction and Property has the assignment of establishing a new building, for use of education, administration and common functions at the University College in Hedmark's Department for Forestry and Outlying Field Management at Inventar in Østerdalen. The project is defined as a pilot project for The Directorate of Public Construction and Property regarding energy optimisation and use of solid wood as a construction material. The project seeks to achieve environmental classification ZEB-COM (0 Emission Buildings — Constructions, Operation and Materials). This means that the building and site shall produce renewable energy that shall compensate for greenhouse gas emissions from the construction process, operation and materials. The selected solution for energy supply is a Volter combined heating and power unit, which produces electricity and heat by making gas from wood chip. This tender invitation concerns the delivery of wood chip to this heating and power unit.
