A tender notice for a turnkey partnering contract for the engineering design and construction of a superstructure made of ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene) film for 4 various climatic zones in the exhibition greenhouse. Statsbygg requests a solution proposal based on a function description and geometry in accordance with information given in the tender documentation. The solution proposals will be paid up to 200 000 NOK each
Contract K201 Climate adaptive building shell will be a co-ordinated sub-contract in the project.

Statsbygg shall, on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Research, be the contracting authority for a new Exhibition greenhouse in the Botanical garden at Tøyen in Oslo. The botanical garden will be a part of the Natural History Museum, which in turn is a part of the University of Oslo (UiO). The completed building shall be administered by UiO.The construction project has been subject to a long development period, starting with a Design contest in 1998 up until the current type of project. The climate zones, or exhibition areas, included in the contract K201 Climate adaptive building shell has elliptical domes with covering in multi-layer EFTF film. The 4 domes will be shortened with angular glass facades.The project is planned as divided contracts, of which 2 of these contracts; contract K201 Climate adaptive building shell and contract K301 Climate systems will be turnkey contracts.The contract K201 Climate adaptive building shell shall include engineering design and the construction of a complete superstructure for the climate zones. The foundation works and technical installations will be subject to separate contracts. The information of dimensioning loads, tolerance requirements and the delivery of cast-on-site parts for load-bearing points towards foundations are included in the contract K201. Contract K201 includes doors and mechanical airing panels/openable windows on the facade, with accompanying re-framings, fittings and service units.The site is bordering Finnmarksgata towards east and Monrads gate towards west. These streets must be kept open during the entire construction period and cannot be used for scaffolding or crane purposes.

The extent of the size will also be emphasised.
The Norwegian Directorate of Public Construction and Property reserves the right to obtain a credit rating of all tenderers.
Teknisk og faglig kapasitet:
1./.2. Tenderers are required to have sufficient competence and experience with engineering design services, delivery and construction of Climate adaptive building shell structures with flexible covering.
1. A short account shall be provided (up to 2 A4 pages) for each of the below listed points) for the company's/the companies' competence and tools for:
a) designing and constructing steel structures
b) designing and constructing major glass facades
c) designing and executing outer covers made of ETFE film.
2. A description shall be submitted of up to 5 reference projects with comparative value, with information of:
a) the project name
b) contracting authority
c) type of installation
d) the assignment's size or extent
e) type of contract (if this is a turnkey contract, if own employees or sub-contractors have planned the project)
f) the company's assignments/role in the project
g) the assignment's contract value excluding VAT
h) the start-up date and completion date (year) / if not completed — where one is in the project
i) use of BIM.
