In connection with the construction of the new Bergen Academy of Art and Design, new equipment shall be procured for the Academy's metal machine shop, wood machine shop, joint workshop, welding room, raw material storage wood, polishing room, etc.Please see the attached layout drafts of the workshops for further information.In order to clarify the scope of the procurement, the following categories are listed as examples:— Saws (band saws, sheet saws, adjusting saws);— Machines (edge polishing machines, polishing machines, drill presses);— Planers (smoothing planers, dimension planers);— Long band polishing machine and wide band polishing machine;— Pipes (tube expander, pipe bending machine);— Welding equipment;In addition the contracting authority requests option for:— Dehumidifiers and air washers.The students at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design use the wood and metal workshops daily in their studies and are completely dependent on access to durable equipment of high quality, with good user-friendliness and functionality. Due to the Bergen Academy of Art and Design's strong focus on HSE, all the equipment must be of such a nature that the students' safety are ensured.In addition to the delivery of machines, the tenderer must offer installation, functional and technical testing, and training, documentation, scrapping old machines, maintenance and service. The contracting authority also request consultancy regarding installation and where to place the machines, where the objective is to optimise the workflow as well as safeguard the students' health, safety and environment in relation to laws and regulations.The delivery and installation of machines and equipment is scheduled to be conducted in the period 22.5-1.8.2017. Further information about the delivery co-ordination schedule will be communicated well before delivery.The procurement includes a wide range of wood and metal processing machines. The procurement varies in scope and complexity and includes approx. 50 units.
