The objective of a self-service library is to provide the inhabitants in Askim municipality an improved library service. By using new technology, the contracting authority shall establish a self-service library that will give the general public access almost 24/7. In accordance with a resolution made by the Town Council, the project will be implemented in 2 stages:
1. Stage 1: A self-service library within the manned opening hours during 2016,
2. Stage 2: A library with increased opening hours and a self-service system from 2017.
