During spring of 2015, Os municipality will procure a new patient monitoring system for Luranetunet Residence and Treatment Centre (bu- og behandlingssenter) (currently there is an analogue system which communicates with Dect telephones). The nursing home has 80 places where the majority of residents have a form of cognitive impairment. During 2016 and 2017 the nursing home shall receive a new building with altogether 95 new places, and the intention is to use the same system at both locations, if we are satisfied with the new patient monitoring system (option). The system shall be used for 2 way communication between residents and employees, and employee to employee at the nursing home. The communication shall be conveyed by means of: — Active alarm call service from the user; — Passive alarm call service from the user (Sensor based); — Automatic ‘present' marking and disconnection in resident rooms; — Portable unit in the resident rooms with the possibility of communication and information; — Hand-held unit with the possibility of communication with/from the resident/employee; — Central in duty rooms with the possibility of communication with/from the resident/employee; — The patient monitoring system shall receive signals from the Central processing system (fire command centre) and door opener at the main door. Signals must be readable and presented on the hand-held unit. — There shall be a difference between an assistance alarm and an emergency signal. — The system must have the possibility for integration with Visma electronic patient journal, in the near future.
