Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT)

Helse Vest RHF

Helse Vest RHF (the Western Norway Regional Health Authority) intends to create a framework agreement for Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) with associated consumables. The procurement is divided into three partial deliveries.

Based on statistics from the purchase in 2014, it is estimated an annual volume for each partial delivery below. Volume and demand for products may vary during the contract period and are estimates only and are not binding for Helse Vest.
Actual deliveries:
1. Vacuum pumps, reusable incl. Consumables
In total we currently have 40 reusable vacuum pumps in Helse Vest and Haraldsplass. There is an increasing demand, and it is desirable to have deployed approximately 60 small mobile reusable pumps at the beginning of the new agreement.
1.3 In 2014 it was used approximately 1 828 bandage kits.
1.4 In 2014, it was used approximately 1 379 Canisters.
1.5 Single Articles about 100 000 a year.
2. Vacuum pumps, disposable
2.1 In 2014, it was used approximately 1190 disposable vacuum pumps
3. Vacuum pump with possibility of instillation
During the first four months of 2015 vacuum pump with the possibility of instillation is used for approximately 8 weeks with 2 bandage shifts per week in Helse Førde. This is a new product area with little documentation and low demand in Helse Vest at the moment. However, we expect that demand will increase if the treatment gets better documented. Future treatments are expected to be from 20 to 50 annually.
We expect an increase in consumption of NPWTs during the contract period due to better availability of necessary equipment after this tender.
In addition to products specifically mentioned in Part 2 – Appendix 1 price sheet, Helse Vest want the new contract to include other product ranges naturally related to the products mentioned in Part 2 – appendix 1 price sheet. This may be different models of offered products, manufacturers or other pack sizes.
