Berg gård shall be totally renovated. The building is currently empty and the internal demolition has been procured through a separate contract. The building is approx. 5 000 m² gross with 2 main wings, parts A and B. 20 new sheltered accommodation flats, a day-centre, upgrading the existing swimming pool and upgrading the temporary nursery to a permanent nursery with room for up to 14 bases/departments has been engineered in the existing building.
The building shall be BREEAM certified.

The building is approx. 5 000 m² gross with 2 main wings, parts A and B.Sheltered accommodation flats/day-centre:Part A is a two storey construction running north-south with one storey side wings towards the east and west. The side wings surround an open atrium area facing east. There is a full lower ground floor/basement under part A.20 sheltered accommodation flats and a day-centre shall be established in part A, with a total gross area of 2 091 m². The sheltered accommodation flats shall qualify for grants from the Housing Bank of Norway for sheltered accommodation.Nursery:Part B is a 1 storey atrium construction with a full lower ground floor/basement. Part B was adapted and used as a temporary nursery in autumn 2009 (9 departments), but is currently empty.The project is to establish a permanent nursery for up to 250 equivalents (14 departments) in the building's part B. The gross area for the nursery is 2 786 m².Swimming pool:In parts of the lower ground floor, part B, there is a swimming pool that was previously used as a therapy pool. The swimming pool area, part C, is currently closed. The swimming pool part is 305 m². shall be completely renovated to new building standard.
