EØS 042-2014 Data communication and telephony services

Bergen Kommune (Bergen municipality)

Bergen kommune shall enter into a new agreement for data communication and telephony services. The agreement shall include the following service fields:
Transport network, Internet access, Landline telephony services and Mobile telephony services.
Contractual terms
— The entire service with necessary infrastructure shall be established when the agreement is initiated, and maintained during the entire agreement period.
— All administrative systems and routines shall be automatised. — It is expected that the delivery shall include data integration, automatic service data exchange, user data and organisational data between the customer's and the service provider's systems. Specified system integrations shall be implemented before the system is rolled out.
Bergen kommune expects a development where the use of ICT will continue to increase within several sectors. The municipality actively focuses on increased ICT support in the service production, including service development, with increased interaction, and increased access to professional systems. Furthermore, an increased use of more complex services with more frequent use of i.a. multi media, is expected.
Bergen kommune (Bergen municipality) also expects an increased requirement for a guest networks (Internet access) in the municipality's sports facilities, cultural centres and libraries.
For parts of Bergen municipality the mobile traffic will continue to increase, and landline telephony can be replaced by mobile telephony.
Increased use of mobile units for data acquisition, service systems, information retrieval and interaction services, is also expected.
