Bergen Vann wishes to enter into a framework agreement with one tenderer regarding foundation works and landscape design in connection with repairs of water and sewage pipe system. The work comprises excavation of a building pit for repairs and restoration of a building pit subsequent to the repairs. The works is a part of the stand-by system for water supply in Bergen kommune and requirements are made in relation to the deadline for mobilisation with call-off.

The procurement mainly includes foundation works with assistance with repairs of water pipe ruptures. Approx. 50 % of water pipe ruptures are acute and must be prepared as stand-by measure.The rupture statistics for the previous 10 years (2004-2014) show an average of 130 ruptures per annum. The works are seasonal and more than 50 % of the ruptures occur between November and February. In the last 5 years (2010-2014), it has been necessary with simultaneous repairs of 2 or more water pipe ruptures on the same day, approx. 160 times.I particularly cold period more ruptures occur Maximum number of ruptures per annum in 2010 were repairs of 250 water pipe ruptures. Approx. 55 % of the ruptures on municipal roads, 15 % on County roads. Less than 1 % of the ruptures occur on National and European roads.
