In August 2015, the Norsk Luftfartssenter Bodø AS started a process to develop a new civil exhibition at the Norwegian Aviation Museum.The process is divided into three phases:Phase 1: Preparation of concept plan in collaboration with Freeman Ryan Design (www.frd.com.au)Phase 2 (this contest): Detail and further develop the project based on the concept plan, so that the exhibition can be prepared, established and implemented.Phase 3 (this contest): Implementation and follow-up of the professional responsibility for commissioning of new exhibitions.An internal design brief was carried out (August — December 2015) and a draft project (January 2015), as a defined main theme, before phase 1. Please refer to the attached background material for orientation.Subsequent phase 1 (March — June 2015) has flowed into a concept plan (named ‘Concept Plan’ in the Annex) which shows how the exhibition shall be executed, with thematical framework, plan drawings for the exhibition areas, and further description of sub themes which shall drive the story. This concept plan is located as an attachment to the tender documentation.The tender documentation forms the basis to enter into agreement for the delivery of consulting services for the museum's professional development, design and implementation competency for the exhibition, and fixing and detailing of the existing concept plan to a complete exhibition design as a basis for contracting and follow-up of deliveries up until completed installation, tested and commissioned exhibition.The delivery is phase 2 and phase 3 in the work with new exhibitions and content exhibition design, graphic design, content development and multimedia development in phase 2, as well as implementation and completion of exhibition in phase 3.The assignment shall result in the exhibition being prepared, established and implemented in the organisation with the opening in the middle of December 2016.
