The Agency for Waste Management has many strategic target areas where communication with the city's population is a critical factor for success. Various types of communication services are required for many of the agency's measures and plans, such as collection of household waste, extended source segregation of food waste and plastic packaging, implementation of new services such as Smestad Recycling station and various small recycling stations, introduction of id-based access control, collection of Christmas trees and collection of hazardous waste from the city's districts, and so forth.
