Midtre Namdal Samkommune henceforth referred to as MNS has a joint operation system with a shared intercommunication point towards the Internet. MNS comprises the municipalities Fosnes, Namdalseid, Namsos and Overhalla. Flatanger municipality purchases IT operation services from MNS and the municipality is a member of the shared intercommunication point.
MNS owns the majority of the network between the locations that are included in the system, but is currently hiring connections where the development of such connection has not yet been initiated by MNS. The municipalities has laid own fibre where own guideways are run.
The objective of this tender contest is to receive tenders for a broadband connection for the sections in the internal network where the municipalities have not developed own guideways.

There are 60 locations connected to the intercommunication point, of which 40 locations have their own lines.
