2015/1187 Framework agreement for smoke diving equipment for use by Norges brannskole [Norway's Fire Training School]

DSB, hereinafter called the Contracting Authority, hereby invites tenderers to participate in this competitive tender procedure for a framework agreement.
The aim of the agreement is to cover the Contracting Authority's need for delivery of smoke diving equipment including training in the cause of the material, service and maintenance, for use by Norway's Fire Training School in connection with education and training within fire and rescue.
A smoke diving set consists of a mask, lung automat and backpack-frame. Training in use of the equipment must reflect the material used by the Fire Department in Norway, at the same time as the upcoming delivery of equipment should roll-out with the already existing equipment. Norway's Fire Training School is further responsible for the materials maintaining the regulatory standard, and that follow-up of several brands entails increased control span and expertise need, which ultimately could affect the safety of the students.
For practical and safety reasons, the Fire Training School has therefore limited the choice to three brands; DRÄGER, MSA and INTERSPIRO. Tenders are requested on the material types as named, or equivalent. cfr. PPR§ 17-3 (10).
An agreement will be signed with 1 supplier for each of the indicated types as named in point 2, altogether three agreements. The agreement has a duration of 4 (four) years, and come into affect as soon as they are signed by both parties.
