Tromsøbadet — Contract 20BYG, construction works

A swimming pool has not be constructed in Tromsø for 30 years, whilst several pools have been closed.
The municipal council has decided that a new swimming pool shall be constructed at Templarheimen. The site is in the middle of Tromsøya, with the Tromsø Hall as its nearest neighbour. The site shall cover the needs for schools, sports, disabled persons and the general public. The project's social aim is to establish a future orientated swimming pool for the town's population with ripple effects for the entire region. The establishment shall contribute to better general public health and shall promote Tromsø as a sports town, and as an attractive place to live and it shall be a meeting place for the town's population and visitors.
Tromsøbadet shall be designed by the contracting authority's consultants, but the detailed engineering design services shall partly be carried out in consultation with the chosen service provider. The responsible designers will be the contracting authority's chosen consultants. The building shall be constructed with builder managed joint contracts, or a main contract.
The contracting authority has chosen to divide the project up into the following contracts:
— 20BYG Construction works (including ground works, rigging and operations),
— 30RØR Technical plumbing works,
— 36LBE Air treatment plant works,
— 40ELA Electrotechnical works,
— 69BAT Technical pool works.

Beskrivelse av opsjoner:
The term ‘opsjon’ is used in different connections in the tender documentation:
— The option for the construction phase means that the contracting authority can join the option to the actual construction or collaboration phase.
— Option areas concern the climbing hall, gymnasium and offices/usable area. The tender documentation states how much of the description deals with the different areas.
— In the descriptions some minor functions/work tasks are stated as options. These are ordinary options that the contracting authority will consider to take up during the project.
