The assignment includes the hire of tractors, lorries, machines with operators, equipment for snow removal, sand and salt gritting and other winter maintenance of municipal roads, residential streets, sidewalks and pedestrian and bicycle paths in accordance with the description of assigned areas, see Part II of Annex 2 and the requirements of priorities as specified in the requirements specification. Other winter maintenance means necessary snow blowing, chipping/planing off encrusted snow and ice, clearing intersections and the like.
The official snow clearing season runs from 15 October to 15 April the following year. This is the period for which the preparedness price must be set. Snow clearing outside of this period will be ordered specially.

The contracting authority may make agreements with one or more suppliers for all or some of the routes, i.e. from one to seven suppliers.

The contract is valid from 10.15.2014 through 15.4.2018 with options to extend for 1 year, for a maximum total of 5 years. Any extension of the contract must be announced by the contracting authority at least 3 months before expiration of the agreement.

The tender must be a legally established enterprise.
Norwegian tenderers: Company registration certificate.
Norwegian tenderers shall have arranged terms with regard to the payment of tax, payroll tax and VAT. Tax certificates not older than 6 months calculated from the tender deadline.
The tenderer must meet Norwegian HSE requirements when performing work in Norway.
Filled-in and signed HSE self-declaration in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulations annex 2. Please use the enclosed template, Part I of Annex 6.
