Purchase of automats for self service and RFID chips in Arendal Library

Arendal kommune

Arendal Library shall improve the operation by introducing protection of the materials with radio chips (RFID) and by introducing automatic lending and handing in based on this technology. In the long term, the contracting authority wishes to provide access to the library after (manned operation) opening hours, and systems for this will be added as an option.
Currently, Arendal Library uses the library system named Bibliofil which is delivered by Bibliotek Systemer AS located in Larvik, Norway For further information see the netpage: www.bibliofil.no.
Relevant service providers must act in accordance with the Bibliofil library system and cooperate with Biblioteksystemer AS The system shall be completely and fully integrated with the library system Bibliofil
IKT-Agder IKS delivers the municipality's network system Relevant providers must therefore also cooperate with IKT Agder in order to ensure access to the system through established network and firewall
Arendal bibliotek (Arendal library) uses national library cards with barcodes that shall be used on the self-service machines
