The works will take place in a prison. All involved in the work must have immaculate conduct.There will be strict access control. The routine will involve that all who shall enter the building site must be pre-registered on the overview list which fulfils the requirements in the Contractor's regulations §15. Those not registered on the overview list must have a contact person at the turnkey contractor that provides registration and access control before the person is granted access to the building site. In addition, the requirements for building cards will be strictly enforced so that no-one is allowed access without being showing their valid building card.It is possible to close an entire section in buildings D and E, where works with the shafts will be undertaken, but only during the times 8:30 am — 14:30 pm. Other work can proceed within the normal working day. Signing in and signing out can be done beyond this time frame. It is possible to close several sections at a time. All work begun in the wings must finish within this time frame, and both the HVAC and Electrical must function sufficiently after 14:30 pm. Comprehensive information about the general work times/conditions, will be provided at the site inspection.It is preferable that large parts of the works in the kitchen, cellar, lifts and outdoors in building A are carried out parallel.The involves replacing and improving floor and walls in the commercial kitchen, pantries and freezer room. There is also a need to replace the ventilation system in the kitchen. This implies replacement of ventilation, also out of the kitchen zone. Ceiling fixtures shall be replaced in the kitchen and in the canteen. One must expect some putty and painting works on effected walls and ceiling surfaces. The fire requirements must be taken into consideration in regard to these improvements.The existing lifts from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor shall be replaced 1:1. Replacement will not involve constructive works.Two smaller rooms for goods delivery shall be given new insulation. The window to the goods delivery shall be replaced.Ramp from the kitchen out to the goods delivery shall be replaces, and parts of the area will be asphalted.Male and female changing rooms in the cellar, will not be able to be used during the rehabilitation. These must be replaced with barracks within the area. The changing rooms shall be separated for male and female, and both must have sufficient toilets/shower facilities and heating.An inspection by Øvre Romerike Fire and Rescue revealed deviations in the ventilation system which lead to smoke and fire spreading between the prison cells in the 1st and 2nd floors in buildings D and E. The deviations must be closed either by the use of fire dampers or another adequate solution which TE can document as satisfactory.All who work on the project must have immaculate conduct. Immaculate conduct is controlled by the police. It is TE's responsibility to offer employees who satisfy this requirement.See the construction programme for further and more detailed description.

Ullersmo needs to rehabilitate the kitchen and pantries in building A to satisfy the Norwegian Food Safety Authority's requirements. At the same time, the Directorate of Public Construction and Property wants to carry out another rehabilitation due to wear and tear and other needs.
