Procurement of a ‘machine’ for compressing waste in containers, moving of containers as well as pushing garden waste together and in height

Hias IKS

Hias Renovasjon, which is a department under Hias IKS, operates 5 recycling stations where private households and businesses can deliver various waste fractions free of charge and for payment. Most of the delivered waste ends up in 30 m³ sized open containers which shall be transported to final treatment. Transport to final treatment is carried out by the contracting authority with the help of recently purchased hooked vehicles. The weight of an empty container is approx. 2,5 tonnes. After the content has been compressed the collection weight is approx. 10 tonnes.
In order to reduce the collection frequency and improve the logistics and the safety at the recycling stations, the contracting authority requests purchase of a ‘machine’ that can compress the contents in the containers and move them to more suitable loading sites for collection. Moreover, the ‘machine’ shall be used to push garden waste together and in height.
The contract shall be based on Hias' standard conditions for delivery of goods. The contract applies for procurement of 1 — one — ‘machine’ with option for delivery of further 2 more ‘machines’ within 1 year from the first delivery date.
