The assignment includes the operation and maintenance tasks connected with electrical systems with functional responsibility for some of the tasks on and along national and county roads including pedestrian and cycle roads in Rødøy, Meløy, Gildeskål, Beiarn, Saltdal, Fauske, Bodø, Sørfold, Hamarøy, Steigen, part of Tysfjord and part of Mo i Rana municipalities in accordance with object lists given in section D2-V. The geographical area that the contract covers is shown on the map in Chapter D2-S1.
The work will be done for a round sum for round sum processes, in accordance with amounts and unit prices for unit price processes and as cost-plus work in accordance with hourly rates for the workers and machinery.
The contract is valid between 2014-09-01 to 2019-08-31 for all the tasks that have been described.
The builder has the option of extending the contract by 12 months, from 2019-09-01 to 2020-08-31.
The most important systems and installations that are covered by the assignment consist, among others, of:
National road, incl. pedestrian and cycle roads, County road Nordland, incl. pedestrian and cycle roads.
Number of tunnels with electrical systems 47.
Number of traffic signal systems 15.
Number of weather stations/climate stations 12.
Number of automatic traffic control points and speed indicator signs 5.
Number of bridges with electrical systems 8.
Number of laybys/toilets 14.
Number of lighting points outside tunnels 2595.
Number of traffic control and monitoring systems 14.
Number of ferry piers 23.
The assignment includes routine inspection, examination, function testing and internal controls as well as periodic work, repair of damages, removal/replacement/installation of objects and other measures. The assignment also includes inspection and registration, planning for the company, emergency preparedness, documentation, reporting to the builder and dealing with other necessary tasks.
The client will also have other operation/maintenance contracts for the same road network as that covered by the contract. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration may also carry out works in the area itself.
