New handling system - departing baggage

Avinor AS at Stavanger Airport Sola, Norway shall rebuild parts of the existing baggage handling area in the terminal building, and also extend the baggage handling area by approximately 900 m². In connection with this, the existing baggage handling system shall be connected to an extension consisting of a new sorting system including some 18 to 20 sorting bins, and a new transportation line for level 4 re-screening of standard bags. Parts of the facility shall be prepared for accommodating containers with dollies.
The contract shall comprise of complete supplies and installations for extension of the baggage handling system for departing baggage, including full mechanical- and controls integration with the existing facility.
In terms of schedule, we expect the main milestones to be approximately as follows:
— Tender period: May 2014.
— Contract award: Mid June 2014.
— Site installation: Mid-January –> End February 2015.
