The Norwegian Institute of Public Health [Nasjonalt Folkehelseinstitutt] shall procure one Maldi TOF mass spectrometer to work with identification of micro-organisms. The system is to be installed at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Division for Infection Control, located at the Unit for Bacteriology and Infection Immunology in central Oslo, Norway. The system shall consist of a MALDI TOF mass spectrometer connected to a database system for identification of micro-organisms, including highly pathogenic micro-organisms. The Maldi TOF system shall be used for research, projects, diagnostic and quality assurance and the system will be included in the institutes's emergency-, test circle- and reference functions and will also be able to be used by other departments.
Minimum requirement for the delivery:
The system shall include a suitable database which includes highly pathogenic microbes.
It must be possible to build own databases or supplement existing databases with new microbes. The Contracting Authority must be able to do this themselves.
The procurement will be carried out as an open tender competition. Individual purchase, goods procurement with service agreements and consumer equipment. Negotiations are not allowed. The competition is carried out according to Law and Public Procurement Regulations part III and I.
