NRK would like to replace several old DVB systems with a new, more efficient platform. The platform shall uninterrupted produce video and audio quality of the highest class. The new platform shall be more bit-efficient and have a greater degree of stability, as well as being more flexible than the old systems. The new DVB platform shall send out compressed MPEG4-signals to the DTT, DTH and IPTV/CATV network. The platform shall consist of one main and one back-up system. The platform shall be a turnkey installation from the supplier. As confirmation of the technical evaluation of the supplier's proposed platform, essential components and the signal out from the platform will be tested with hte most used IRDs in the Nordic market within the project's timeframe. A control system shall be included and shall be supported by the supplier during the entire lifetime of the platform. Technical training shall be included.
