As part of the project E136 Tresfjord bridge - the Vågstrands tunnel, this contract comprises complete electrotechnical installation works with associated deliveries for the Vågstrands tunnel with supporting roads, which are under construction. The contract comprises also automated motor driven roller doors in the walls for niches for technical building, and signs in the tunnel and approach zones. As well as master and technical infrastructure for toll station at the tunnel. Furthermore the contract comprises replacement of the lighting system with cables and cable ladders, as well as upgrading of the emergency communication and control system, for the existing Måndals tunnel. The Vågstrands tunnel is 3665 m long, tunnel class B, profile T9.5, with funnel shaped concrete portals. The tunnel will have 5 technical buildings, whereby 3 are inside the tunnel, 6 emergency bays and 1 turning bay. The supporting roads consist of the eastern approach zone from Stolsneset of approximately 750 m, between the new Vågstrands tunnel and the existing Måndals tunnel. As well as Våge approach zone of approximately 550 m, and intersection with associated connecting roads of approximately 150 m to fylkesvei (highway).170, west of the new Vågstrands tunnel. The approach zones for the E136 will be built according to standards class S2, with normal road width of 8.5 m. The existing Måndals tunnel, which starts approximately 750 m east of the new Vågstrands tunnel, is 2080 m long in profile T8.5, and was finished in 1993.The tunnel has 3 technical building, whereby 1 is in the tunnel. The tunnel is newly prepared with bolts for securing of cable ladders. The Måndals tunnel is part of the existing E136, without ordinary nearby detour possibilities. All of the work which is to be carried within the Måndals tunnel shall therefore be carried out as night works with the tunnel closed. The traffic flow during the night closure of the tunnel shall be regulated by manual direction and support vehicle, on the disused stretch of road on the outside of the Måndals tunnel. E136 goes from Dombås in Oppland fylke, through Romsdalen and through to Ålesund. The stretch is the main east-west connection to Møre og Romsdal fylke, and carries a large number of heavy vehicles. In the stretch involved in this project, the E136 has an annual average daily traffic of approximately 1650, with the share of vehicles over 6 m being approximately 24 %. The Vågstrands tunnel with supporting approach zones is considered a landslide prevention project. And shall replace the current narrow and winding road which follows steep verges along the fjord.
