County Road 337. Avalanche Warning, Utledøla

The contracting authority seeks tenders for the purchase and installation of a radar system to monitor and provide real-time warning of avalanches along County Road Rv 337, at Utledøla in Luster municipality. The bid shall also include the installation of stop signals on both sides of the fall zone. The system must be installed and operationally ready by 1.9.2014.
The supplier of the assignment must also provide a service agreement. This shall apply from the time the installation is operationally ready, at the latest from 1.9.2014, through 1.9.2017.
The action is part of an R&D project, which means that the solution is required to use an internet-based tool to save and retrieve data for use in research into avalanche monitoring and warning.
The purpose of the acquisition is to improve traffic safety on road section.
The contracting authority has an option to extend the service agreement by 2 + 2 years, applicable from 1.9.2017, through 1.9.2021. The total possible agreement duration could therefore be 7 years.

Beskrivelse av opsjoner:
The tenderer should offer an extension of the service agreement for 2 two years, with the first period running from 1.9.2017, through 1.9.2019, and the second period from 1.9.2019, through 1.9.2021.
If the option is triggered, the supplier will be notified within three months of the expiration of the service period. Annual price, including price regulation cf. Section C.2.4. Concerning the service agreement specified in Section E.5, this will also apply annually in the event of an extended service agreement.

Requirements for the tenderer's experience: The supplier shall have expertise and experience in similar assignments and have carried out projects of the same nature and difficulty. Specifically, the supplier shall also have experience of radar detection and real-time warning of avalanches. See section B.2.2 of the tender documentation.
