The church has an important role in the village and the county's music performances; the church serves as a focal point for various activities. The new organ will allow the church a key place in a diverse church musical landscape. We want an organ that best meets the need for organ music for church services, church events and concerts. A new organ for Melhus church must meet at least for the musical criteria:
— liturgical accompaniment and hymn singing.
— a wide concert repertoire.
— improvisation in various styles.
— instrumental and vocal accompaniment.
