136-BYM-2013 - Hiring of Construction Manager, Control Engineer, Electrical Construction Manager and Implementation Coordinator for monitoring of the Prinsensgate project

The Contracting Authority needs Construction Manager expertise, Control Engineer expertise, electrical expertise and implementation coordinator due to the lack of capacity in these areas. Workplace will be in the vicinity of the project in barracks/portables or other suitable office location. The consultants will be assigned to the section for roads and public transport in the investment department of the Agency for Urban Environment (BYM). The Prinsensgate project comprises Prinsens street which is located in Kvadraturen in down town Oslo. The street is one of the most important public transport veins going east - west through the town. Prinsens street and Tollbugata er currently bottlenecks for public transport through the down town area where buses, trams and cars block each other in peak hour. It is with this background that a detailed design is set in motion which shall comprise establishing a two-way tram, with double tracks in Prinsensgate and over Wessels Place and two way bus in Tollbugata. This gives a basis for establishment of a high standard of tram stops in Prinsens street. New tracks will be established in Prinsens gate x Akersgata such that the connection toward Rådhusplassen via Akersgata is maintained. The footpaths will be upgraded in accordance with the aesthetic plan which says that there shall be natural stone covering in the street. Tollbugata will be established as purely a bus street with two way traffic. This gives further grounds for establishment of two high standard stopping places for buses in respectively the lower and upper part and the existing tram infrastructure will be removed. The side walks in this street will not be upgraded. The detailed design is in cooperation with Sporveien.
