Through project Tromsø Package 3 - Stakkevollvegen, Tromsø municipality shall expand the existing road network. As part of its commitment to public traffic and pedestrians the main goal of the extension is to establish bus lanes, bicycle lanes and pavements along Stakkevollvegen from the roundabout in Hansjordnesbukta in the south to Tverrforbindelsen/Erling Kjeldsens road to the north.
In connection with the project Troms Kraft Nett will alter some of their high voltage lines and transformer stations that are in conflict with the road project.
Troms Kraft Varme will install a main conduit for district heating under the pavement on the lower side of the road.
The addition of a main conduit for a refuse suction plant organized by Remix is also being considered.
The project includes the following phases:
— Preliminary project,
— Detail Project (construction plans),
— Tender Basis,
— Monitoring during construction.
