The Local Election Day project

A contract shall be entered into for delivery of the Local Election Day project. With the project the Local Election Day, the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, wishes to bring into focus the key role the political parties and particularly the nominating committees have in the work with forming a more equal sex distribution in the municipal council. The Local Election Day project is a voluntary initiative for municipalities that got less than 30 % female representation in the municipal councils at the previous local election. The Awarding Authority invites municipalities in the target group to participate in the project. See annex 1 in the tender documents for further description of the project.
