The assignment includes two sub projects. Sub project 1 involves new by-road. The new by-road shall be constructed from fv 174 (County road 174) to the ring road fv 459 (County road 459). Sub project 2 includes the construction of the Ring road between the new crossing with the by-road and the Trondheim road (fv 454).
The by-road shall be situated under the railway (the Main line), which result in alteration of the railway (two tracks) in order to prepare the construction pit for a culvert cast in situ. A new provisional track shall be constructed and the existing track, including contact line and signalling system shall be disassembled and reconstructed.
This means considerable requirements to railway engineering competence and experience from the executor. The railway traffic shall continue during the construction period except some halt in the railway traffic in weekends. The estimated concrete volume for the culvert is 5000 m3. Rerouting of cables and pipes, including pipe drilling below the railway is included in the contract.
The ring road shall be reconstructed in order to make room for bicycle lanes, central reserve and pavement. Roundabouts in the Ring road shall be constructed and some works in to the neighbouring roads shall be carried out. Other works: Rerouting of municipal Water and Sewage pipes, excavation of trenches for district heating pipes and rerouting of cables. It is required that the executor has experience from road construction works in densely built-up areas and experience from works in and at busy roads.
